Graphic Designer Studies London – Graphic Design Course London:

It is great that graphic design is becoming mainstream! But a lot of people fail to distinguish between the different types of graphic design. For example, people who do not know much about websites do not know the difference between graphic design and web design.

A lot of people are unaware of the difference between print design, UI design, logo design, and so on. In the end, there is a lot of confusion for people who need design services but do not know which kind of designer to call.

A graphic designer specialises in graphic design software and design elements to skill-fully create digital art. If a designer chooses to specialise in one particular field of graphic design, then it’s completely up to them.

At Blue Sky Graphics we teach our students all of the essential aspects that a graphic designer is supposed to know, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, colour theory, design thinking and creating a solid portfolio. Moreover, we are helping students obtain an extremely useful skill of graphic design from the comfort of their homes, in a one-to-one online setting.

What is the job of a graphic designer?

People who work in the field of design use typography, space, and images to get their job done. A graphic designer creates illustrations that communicate visually, like posters, banners, business cards, letterheads, and so on. A good graphic designer needs to know about design theory and be very creative and flexible because his or her field of work is extremely vast.
A good graphic designer also needs to know how to use a lot of different design software’s. These software’s include the holy trinity of graphic design, i.e. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator!

Logo designer:

In the case of a logo designer, things are quite simple. A logo designer makes a design product, but the most important thing is that the logos serve many different purposes. Even though a logo is small compared to other design products, its value does not change based on how big it is. In the end, the work of a logo designer cannot be undervalued.

Graphic designers and logo designers have a lot in common:

Each of the two people who make graphics and logos, is a master at making things look good.
A lot of people do not know how big the world of design is, so when they hear “graphic or logo designer,” they think of people who know a lot about design. Mostly, they are right, but it is only a superficial way of looking at things. If you want to be a pure designer, you must know everything about every single field of design.

A logo is a piece of art:

A logo is a piece of art, so it can be made by a graphic designer. It has a lot of commercial and marketing value. A graphic designer who does not know about marketing is not going to be able to produce a good logo.

Graphic Designers Create Logos:

Graphic and logo design are both very difficult fields, but a lot of people specialise in both. A lot of people think that all graphic designers and all logo designers must be able to make good logos and create beautiful graphic design items. What is the future of graphic design?
All our predictions are based on some valid assumptions, but that does not mean they will all happen at the same time. The trends will come and go, but the same basic principles will always be the same. This will make things easier, but no computer programme can replace the designer’s imagination and talent.

Future of Logo Design:

We think that in the short term, the job of a logo designer will be more about making the final product look good and appealing to the people who want to buy it. If you want to make a quick-and-easy logo that people can recognise, you will have to keep adding more and more elements and brands to the mix. A logo is no longer used in the header of a website. Instead, it is used on business cards, banners, and other types of design projects.

Learn logo design online:

You could say that making a logo is an art form that lets the designer show how a company wants to be seen. It is the job of the designer to make something that shows what the business is all about in a creative but simple way. To do this, you need to know what goes into making a logo, such as:

• The use of illustrations makes logos look more fun and unique. These are the shapes that make up pictures that show how the brand name looks in real life.

• Typography is the art of making words look good or come to life. Font style is very important because it can make or break the logo. If you add too many fonts, it might be hard to read and make it look messy. If you keep it simple, it might be too dull.

• Make colours with more than one colour. You cannot just pick your favourite colour when you use colours. Different colours make people feel different things. Because red can be seen as a connotation of anger but can also makes people want to hurry and eat, many fast-food chains use red in their logos.

Why should you learn graphic design and logo design?

Commercial graphic design is a type of applied art that deals with marketing and advertising. In the graphic design course at Blue Sky Graphics you will learn how to make graphics, but you will also learn how you can use those skills for business, just like when you make logos for businesses.

You must think about the company’s brand when you make logos or other graphics for a business to make them look good. If you are making a logo, you need to do some research and meet with people from the company, so you know what they want. Sometimes, you will also get a lot of rejections and revisions until the person in charge likes your design.

How do you design graphics?

It is the first and most important graphic design tip to keep in mind when you are making social media content and other digital marketing content. You need to have a goal. Setting a goal will help you figure out how to design your social media posts.

Make sure you have a goal in mind before you start designing your social media content. This will not only help you with your design, but it will also help you tell your message visually. Make sure that you know who your audience is before you start jotting your design. Research your competitors and the people you want to reach.

Colour is one of the most important things to think about when you create a design. There are many ways that it can help to set a mood, make a space, and even bring back memories. The meaning and psychology of each colour can be found by finding a colour scheme that conveys the emotion you want your audience or brand to associate with. This will help to keep things the same.

What does you brand stands for? Is it fun, well-known, trustworthy, and so on? When you start with two to three main colours, you can show what your brand stands for. The success of a design is based on how well you choose your colour scheme. Remember that goal you just found out about? When you use colours in your social media content, you will be glad you know this. This will help your audience follow along with the story.

Colour is also important for making your social media graphics contrast and balance each other. Be aware of how certain colours or combinations can make someone think a certain way. Make sure that you do not use colours that are hard to see. This will help your brand in the long run. When colours do not contrast enough, they look like they blend. When they contrast too much, they can make your eyes shake.

Once you pick your colour scheme, make sure you use the same colours in all your posts. You should write down the hex codes, so you know the exact colour. To avoid having your posts be a shade or two off, you should only post monochromatic things. People who are not designers can find the exact colour of an image with a tool called a “colour picker.” This tool will give you a six-digit code that tells you what colour it is on the colour wheel.

Typography is not the same as this (which we will get into next). Text is a group of words, and typography is the visual part of the written word. Now that we know that, let us talk about why the text is important. Even if you think you must use every word you can to explain your brand and why it is so great, don’t. For example, when you make social media graphics, you do not want to overcrowd an image with text.

Some good graphic design tips to keep in mind, are that too many words on an image can make it look like it is too congested to your audience. The last thing you want to happen is for your audience to be overwhelmed by your message. If you are taking a picture for Instagram or Facebook, try to keep the text to one or two lines. See, these lines will help to keep the overall picture in order. To use these lines, you can put them around parts of text. They can also be used as a line to separate each thing in an image. If you do this, it will make your design look like it fits together.

When you choose the right font to go with your images, it can be hard, but when it is done right, your graphics can come to life! Like your colour scheme, choosing a font should show off your brand’s personality. Do not go over the top. You only need two to three fonts at the most. A lot more than that, and your audience may get distracted, and your message might not be heard, so do not do more than that. They will not be able to remember you by your font.

Whether or not you have your logo on it, your customers should be able to see a picture and know it is yours even if your logo is not on it.

The typeface or font family you choose should show your message and show off your brand. When people see your design, they think about how it looks and what kind of message your brand sends. This is the same function that colour can do. Typography can show moods and emotions, and sometimes it can be even more powerful than the copy itself.

It will be a big part of your brand if you stay the same. A clear picture of your brand or message will be formed if all your social media content looks and feels like it fits together. People may not be able to figure out what your brand or message is, if your content is not consistent and does not make sense.

Setting your goal early on will help your brand work toward a uniform look. Giving your followers a way to quickly find you on their feed. This is called “following.” Make sure that all of your content is in line with your brand. At times, it can be hard to always post content in the same way but having a strong brand identity will make it worth it.

The most important thing to remember from these graphic design tips is that you need to be consistent so that your followers can think of you as having a certain style or type of work. This means that no matter what social media platform your audience is on, they will quickly be able to tell that a picture is linked to your brand. Can you become a UX designer with no experience?

With the high demand for UX design, getting your first job can be hard, even if you have a lot of experience. However, with a little extra work, strategic networking, and careful attention to your portfolio, you can get your first junior UX job. At Blue Sky Graphics online graphic design, web design UX UI design course, we ensure that our students pass with a rock-solid portfolio to help them land a job easily!

Do UX designers make apps?

No, they do not make apps. The job of a UX designer is to make a product or service easy to use, fun, and accessible. Many businesses work on user experiences, but the term is most often used to describe digital design for websites and apps, such as games and applications.

Is UX design a good job for you?

UX design is a very competitive field, and to be a top UX designer, you need to wear a lot of different hats, metaphorically speaking. Also, you will need to learn a lot of technical skills as well as need to learn how to be empathetic.

Is UX design going to last?

Future-proofing your UX (user experience) means that you build a system to keep your experience up to date. There are more and more things that need to be done to be future proof in today’s world because new technologies come out every year, and what worked yesterday may not work today.

Real world experience:

Most of the time, when people say they need “real world” experience, they mean that they need to have a line on their resume or CV that shows that they worked at this company for a certain amount of time. Does that line on the CV shows that the person knows how to do their job well? Not at all.

Employers will want you to be able to talk about and show the work you did. Putting a sentence on your CV can help, but only if it is something you can show off in your UX portfolio and talk about in interviews.

It is important to show off the work you have done in your UX portfolio. This work could come from a job as a UX designer, but it could also come from projects you have done on a course, bootcamp, or volunteer work, or even from a project you took on to apply UX principles to your current job.

Are UX designers paid well?

There are a lot of IT jobs in the UK, but because London is Europe’s start-up capital, many businesses hire UX designers. There is a lot of demand for UX designers in London, the biggest city in the UK.

Make sure you have more skills:

To be good at UX, you do not need to know how to use technology or how to make things. Graphic design, marketing, dancing, or teaching are all fields where you could start a new job. It is just a matter of being aware of your transferable skills and improving your technical skills to get a job.

If you are still getting your bearings in the field of UX, think about taking a certified course or boot camp that will teach you the skills you need (and give you a portfolio). If you enrol at Blue Sky Graphics, we will help you build a professional portfolio along with teaching you skills in design.

Make sure you think about your extra skills:

Auxiliary talents are the skills and traits you bring to the table that are not related to your UX design experience. These are often skills that go along with or help with your design skills.

It is common for UX designers who also know how to write code and analyse data to get paid more because these skills make them more well-rounded and appealing candidates for the job. So, look for opportunities to learn new things. Consider getting a certificate in UI design, voice user interface design, or front-end programming to improve your skills.

Based on how long you have worked as a UX designer, you should get paid more:

In any business, experience is an important factor in determining pay. UX designers fall into the following groups based on their experience:

Graduates from college or people who have taken online courses to learn about user experience design can start with an annual income between £75,000 and £80,920 which can depend on a variety or factors such as where they live, the quality of their work and experience and so on.

If you want to be a UX designer at a high level, you should know how to use tools and procedures. Usually they have been in the field for a fair few years, from three to eight years and know a lot about the job and the business. Between £90,000 and £104,580 is what most of these designers make each year at this level.

UX designers that have been in the business for 15+ years tend to oversee a lot of work in a company and make important business decisions. Between £110,000 and £113,368 is the range of annual pay for this job.

The following are some of the most important technical skills:

People who design websites and other things for people should be able to write basic code.

User Research:

Conducting user research and analysing the results is very important to having a good user experience. This includes user testing, interviews, questionnaires, and surveys to find out what people want.

Besides designing user interfaces, UX designers should make wireframes and prototypes as well. When you use wireframes and prototypes to show and test your ideas, you can do it quickly. There are a lot of ways to do this, and recruiters will want to know which one you know how to use.

A good understanding of visual communication lets you see how the graphics in user experience design work together to make a good experience. It helps you understand how things like layout, colour, icons, pictures, design theory, and typography work in design.

How do graphic designers play a role in marketing?

This century has seen a lot of changes in the way that people market their products. There has been a big rise in the use of content marketing in advertising, with more businesses relying on images and infographics to promote their brands. In other words, every new brand needs graphic design if they want to give their clients important information. A lot of research shows that our eyes pick up 90% of the information that we see. Our brains, on the other hand, are trained to recognise an appealing image in seconds. Because of this, it would be hard to not pay attention to how important graphic design is to attract your target market to a brand and increase your sales.

Advantages of a great graphic design for a marketing plan:

Beautiful marketing design can make people want to act by giving them a clear, easy way to do so. At each step of your marketing campaign, you need to think about how to get your audience to interact with you and then how to turn that interaction into what you want. This is important. How can you turn a call to action into a sale and how can you make a brand experience out of digital marketing design? You need to think about these things. The design is ultimately responsible for making your audience feel something. Check out Blue Sky Graphics to learn more about graphic design.

Trust is built:

Having a good design can make people feel less afraid of change. This can be done by addressing the fears and concerns that people might have about the product or service you are trying to get people to buy. It could also be about what the product is made from, if people can return it, or if they can try it out in person first.

Adding credibility to your design:

It gives you a reason to do it. To get people to use your product or service, show it in a real-world setting. When you write a blog post, your audience needs to know how you can help solve a problem they have or met their needs. As soon as a person sees the product in context, they can see much more quickly if it can work for them and their current way of life.

Graphic design vs marketing:

In both subjects, each person has to deal with different kinds of pressures. As a Marketing Manager, you are used to working under certain rules, whether they are financial constraints, deadlines, restrictions, or you need certain resources. There is a limit to what marketers can do. Everything must be measured, researched, and put into a plan. The job of a marketing manager is to show that the customer’s experience is getting better. This can be done by delivering quantitative or qualitative results.

On the other hand, you have the graphic designer, who has the same constraints as the marketing manager. However, designers are more in touch with emotional and ethereal results than tangible results, so they work better with them.

When things get lost in communication:

In most cases, it is the marketing team that has direct contact with clients and needs to pass along updates and messages. The design team, on the other hand, is more likely to be working behind the scenes. If a client asks for changes to a project, the marketer will pass the request on to the design team. Sometimes the changes will not be well-received or are not communicated well.

Marketers and designers sometimes do not get along as well when changes to a project are not fully explained. Marketers might think that designers are not very practical, and on the other hand, designers might be more likely to resist changes that would lower the quality of their work.

How can marketers and designers work together?

1. Marketers may want to bring designers into direct talks with their clients to avoid too much miscommunication. One of the most annoying things that a graphic designer can be asked to do is to make changes to a design without having any idea why that change is being asked for. If the graphic designer can figure out what is wrong, he or she might be able to come up with a different solution to the problem than the client might not have thought of on their own.

2. Instead of thinking of designers and marketers as opposites, both should focus on the person that they are trying to reach and what the user’s experience is like. Each discipline should start with their own ideas and knowledge to make sure that the marketing campaign goes well. In the same way that the right and left sides of the brain work together, so do marketers and graphic designers.

3. Think about the fact that marketers and graphic designers usually work together for the same goal, so there should not be a hierarchy in the way that work moves. Instead of going in a straight line, everyone on the team should share their ideas. Designers need to think more freely, to come up with different ways to reach a goal. You might be surprised by how much respect there can be between people who work together better.

4. If a marketing manager does not let the graphic designer be creative and flexible, it can be very off-putting. This is because a “creative brief” is a document that the marketing manager gives to the graphic designer. It might be better to let go of some of the control and start talking with the client and the designer from the start. This way, the designer can better understand what the client wants to do and how to make it happen.

5. Everything should be written down, even phone calls. You can send the client an email with a list of things that were spoken about. When there is a problem, everyone should be on the same page so that everyone can look at the documents to figure out what was agreed to. Even though some problems are still going to come up, this will cut down on miscommunication and help figure out what to add to future contracts to make sure everyone understands the scope of work that is going to be done.

What is a marketing designer?

A marketing designer makes illustrations and digital images for businesses. He or she also makes presentations for businesses and companies to use to market and promote their goods and services to the public. To make these tools and spread the word about a company’s business, marketers use different types of typography, composition, colour, and visual identity design.

To become a marketing designer, you need to have a Bachelor of Arts in both marketing and design. This is part of what you learn when you get a degree in marketing and design. Photoshop and Illustrator are used for things like advertising design, typography for logos, and more. You can also learn graphic design online using Blue Sky Graphics certification course.

Skills that are needed for a job are:

It is very important for marketing designers to know a lot of different computer programmes. Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft PowerPoint are some of the computer software programmes. Marketing designers also need to be able to work closely with their clients to come up with marketing strategies that fit both their artistic tastes and the goals of their clients.

Basics of marketing design:

When it comes to marketing design, the process of making and improving visual assets for advertising, branding, and other promotional activities is called marketing design. The goal is to make a brand more visible, more popular, and more profitable.

Marketing design is a field in which graphic designers work with marketing experts to make visual content and design elements that work well together. Products that they make are based on design principles, but they also follow a set of rules and guidelines that make up a brand.

Marketing design is all about getting people to look at your products and services. At the same time, you want to make sure your brand is well-known through consistent messaging and visual language.

There are a lot of different fields in marketing and design:

This is why it is hard to just say that marketing design is what it is. It has spread into a lot of different fields and activities. In different businesses, graphic designers who specialise in marketing work for a wide range of companies. They work for marketing agencies, software companies, and small businesses.

Some of the most common marketing fields in which graphic design plays a big part are:

Even though branding design is a separate field, it is part of marketing design. Branding design is about coming up with, creating, and enforcing a visual identity for a certain company, product, or service, which helps people form an impression of its brand.

Graphic designers who specialise in branding do a lot of research on brands missions, values, and stories, as well as the current trends and competitors of other brands. Then, they sketch out the first logos and come up with ideas and visual identity systems that they later build on.

Branding identity guidelines include logos, brand marks, colours, typography, imagery, symbolism, use of photography, packaging, and other design elements that are important to your company.

You need to think very carefully about how your company’s branding looks. It is important because it is the foundation for any and all marketing campaigns, ad campaigns, lead generation projects, or anything else that could be used as a marketing tool in the future.

Digital marketing:

This is not the only field where graphic designers do a lot of creative work. Digital marketing is another area where they do a lot of that. Most people only pay attention for mere seconds when they are online. To get people’s attention in a sea of information or media, ads and other marketing communications must look very appealing and different from the rest.

People in this field care a lot about how digital marketing looks, as you can see. And it can be broken down into a lot of different groups, which we will only focus on.

Print advertising:

You might think that in the digital age, print marketing is not as important as it was in the past, but think again. When you look at magazines, flyers, catalogues and billboards, you can still see print design. It is just in a different shape and form now.

When it comes to print advertising, most of the time, designers work for marketing agencies or design studios, and not for businesses that own the print ads. In their daily work, they come up with eye-catching designs that are ideal for printing.

So, they have to make sure the dimensions and ratios are right, use the right colours (digital and ink do not look the same), and know about the materials and textures that can be used to print the colours, materials, and textures.

Printed advertising designers work on posters, ads for magazines and other print publications, stickers and brochures, flyers, billboards, and even decals for buses and whole buildings.

Marketing on social media:

In the world of social media, graphic designers who work on marketing visuals need to stay up to date and play around with colours, shapes, and fonts that will make people want to look at their work. Designers also have a hard time making images that are true to the brand, attention-grabbing, stylish, and trendy at the same time because people have shorter attention spans.

Social media marketing designs include feed images, ads, stories, in-stream motion graphics, thumbnails, covers, dynamic ads, and more. When these images are used by marketers, they put them on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Graphic designers often work on making and optimising visuals for use as search engine ads. They usually need to pack a lot of information into them, but also make them look good at the same time. Pay-per-click ads and banner ads are two of the most common ways these ads are used. Because they have so many different size and format options, they often require a lot of experience in the field.

Who is a creative designer?

A designer who is creative helps with advertising and marketing. Some creative designers work for a company, while others work for an advertising agency. Also, a creative designer who works for himself or herself could work as a self-employed freelance creative designer. Your main job is to make advertising materials for a company. As a creative designer, you come up with a rough layout for design projects and follow them all the way through to the end. To make the finished products, you use digital illustration software. In many cases, other designers, and people in the fields of marketing and advertising as well as vendors are needed to work together on a project, too.

Is it possible to become a creative designer?

A creative designer needs to know a lot about art, design, and marketing to be good at it. You must know how to use computer programmes used in your field, like InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. You need to be good at art to make sketches, concepts, and prototypes. A bachelor’s degree or a more advanced degree in art, graphic design, or a similar field can help some people who work in this field. You can also learn graphic design using Blue Sky Graphics online course.

Others learn how to do things on the job and through work experience. Additional qualifications include having knowledge of the industry you work in and the current trends in that field. The job requires good communication skills so that ideas can be shared with the rest of the advertising or marketing team.

Creativity and design skills:

Because creative designers also work with design agencies and company executives, they need to be able to communicate well. They need to stay up to date on things like goods, the arts, sports, marketing, and advertising in order to remember a wide range of current ideas. These designers need strong management and analytical skills, as well as a good understanding of creative resources like graphic design systems, to be good at their jobs.

If you want to be a creative designer, you can work in the public and advertising industries to make things like product labels and brochures that give more information about what the company does. They usually work for companies that make multimedia or advertisements. Creative Designers can also work on their own or as freelancers.

Tips for beginner creative designers:

For students or people who have no experience at all, graphic design looks like a great skill to learn. They should not expect to become an expert designer after a month of trying to design. They can ask for help from experienced graphic designers, or they can work in an advertising company to gain experience. They more they practise, the better they will get at it, step by step. Here are the best graphic design tips for people who are just starting out.

Choose the right fonts:

Design and readability are very important. Make sure not to only use one font in your designs. Try to play around with different fonts and stick to one font style for the project you are working on. Look at other fonts instead of the default ones.

Choose images that match:

Make sure that the quality of the images you use in your design are always the same. The quality, framing, style, proportions, and lighting of the elements in your design should stay the same all the way through your project. The graphics, diagrams, images, and illustrations that you use in your project should all work together to give it the right message.

Taking a picture of your sketch:

Keep in mind that if you are sketching your design, make sure to scan it on your computer. You can use a smart phone camera to do this, and you can then import the sketch into Illustrator or Photoshop right away. After this you can work on your design, but make sure to use the scan as a guide.

When it comes to flat design, it goes a long way:

Flat design has been very popular over the years because its design has changed from being a little bright to being classier. Using flat design techniques, you should also have a good sense of where things should be placed and how far apart they should be.

Make use of character and paragraph styles:

Your header should match the style you want to use. Some of the headers are in different places and have different font sizes or line heights. In software’s like InDesign and Photoshop, there are certain tools that you can use to make sure that your characters and paragraphs are all in the same place and have the same rhythm. Such tools will save you a lot of time because you will not have to keep scrolling through pages to look at your styles.

Use Italics with care:

You should also use italics in some of your projects to get a great look. Use them with a lot of respect because they can help your headers and sub-headers look good together. If you want to use italics, you should only use them in small sentences. For long sentences, do not use them. This can cause a big problem for your project.

If you want to be a good graphic designer, you need to learn about symmetry and balance all the way through the whole process. Make sure that the balance is stable, because it will have a big impact on your design. The document you are working on should be evenly loaded on the left and right, or up and down in some cases.

Lines for style and impact:

For an exact piece, line separation can help you get a small piece that looks like it is done. Half lines on either side of a small text filament could be used instead. Putting a 3-pixel line below the header and above the sub-headers, or between the image and the title, will make your work look better and go a long way.

What is UI UX design?

UX, or User Experience is how the user feels when they work with your interface. Focusing on issues such as if a website or app was easy or difficult to navigate? UI/UX design is the design of any user interfaces, in which usability is just as important as the look of the interfaces itself.

The User Interface is what the interface looks like and how it behaves in the real world. How your “product” will look, how easy it will be for someone to hit the buttons with their finger, and so on, will all depend on how it is made.

Information architecture:

Information architecture (IA) is a field of study that tries to make content easier for people to use and easier for them to find what they need. Most of the time, the UX designer is the one who works on it, but not always.

UI designer:

The UI Designer oversees making the project’s interactive interface, icons, logo, buttons, and other things. Useful and appealing designs can be made by this person.

The UX designer oversees:

• Users’ needs are investigated.
• Wireframes of the interface that show how the system works.
• Prototypes that are tested.
• Writing detailed design specs.

This is the main difference between UX and UI:

The UX designer thinks about how users will interact with the interface and what steps they need to take to do something. The UI designer makes the interface look the way it does. They come up with how each of these steps will look. As you can see, UX and UI are so close together that sometimes the line between them is blurred. So, a single designer is often in charge of both UX and UI.

If you want to grow and change, you should learn something new every day. Technologists are making things. There is a lot of demand for websites, and new digital apps are popping up like mushrooms. Every day, new design trends and features are introduced, and you need to be aware of them to stay on top of them.

It is possible for a UX designer to help at any point in a project, but they are usually most useful in the design stages before the developers start writing code. In addition to making interfaces, a UX designer also knows how to make them look good from a business point of view.

Ideas and how they are made:

When you start out as a designer, you may come up with some new ideas and thoughts. People all go through the same thing at some point. People have different ideas that you can use in your project. Take a few or more of them and use something from them in your own project.

But this is not the best way to do things. James Webb Young’s techniques for coming up with ideas are even better. There are five important steps that everyone takes when they come up with a new idea:

Step 1: Find new things

This includes material that is specific to the product or task, as well as material that is general (fascination with a wide range of concepts). Suppose you are working on a project to make a mobile app for online shopping. You will need to know what people buy, when they do it, and some statistics. You will also need to make notes as you learn new things.

Step 2: You need to think about the materials

Mentally “chew” your new material by looking at the facts in different ways and putting together different ideas. At this point, do not forget to write important words and draw some small pictures on a paper.

Step 3: Distract yourself when your mind is blocked

When you cannot think of anything else, forget about the problem and do something else that makes you happy and excited. Keep your mind off of your task for at least one or two hours. Then do something else.

Step 4: Brainstorming

After Step 3, start thinking about what you can come up with. It will not come back to you until you stop straining. Then you can start brainstorming. It will help you come up with new ideas.

Step 5. Shape and develop your idea into something that can be used
It is important to put your idea out into the world and get feedback on it. You can then change it if you need to. It is important to figure out how good the idea is and whether it can do the things that need to be done. And if not, try again.

Creating a wireframe is like making a simple plan for your website or app, such as how it will look. It is used to talk about how a project works and how views connect to each other (what will happen when you click a certain button). This step does not talk about how the product looks.

It is like a mockup with extra UX pieces, interactions, animation, and anything else you would like to see when you click buttons. The only thing that is not there is functionality. Is it possible to make it feel like you are using a real app? No, because they are just pictures that are linked together.

Add colours, fonts, text, images, logos, and anything else that will make your wireframe look like what it should look like when it is done. You will get an idea of the app, though it will not be functioning. This step should be thought about in terms of user interface practises.

The UX UI universe:

The world of UI/UX design is a lot bigger than what we talked about in this article. UI/UX design is now one of the most sought-after jobs in the digital world. And, it seems, it is only getting more popular. If you want to work in UX design, you should never stop learning and never feel like you have “made it.” To keep getting better, you need to keep learning new tools and stay up to date on what people want and expect.
If this article helped you understand what a UI/UX designer is and what you need to know to start your journey to becoming one, the next step is to join Blue Sky Graphics online course!

Are UX designers artists?

In order to be a good UI/UX Designer, you need to know how animation, design, and multimedia art work together. Artists who work with user interface (UI) work with game platforms and apps, while those who work with user experience (UX) make sure a product is used to its fullest potential for users to enjoy. Both jobs are important.

People who work with UI and UX:

Some people do not understand what each person does daily, how the two jobs are similar, and how they are different. There is a field called User Experience Design, and UX is the name for it. People who design the user interface are known as UI, or User Interface Design. Both are very important to a product and work very well together. However, even though these jobs have a lot in common, the roles of each one is very different. UX design is more analytical and technical than UI design, which is more like graphic design (although the job is quite a bit more complex).

This is because of the digital world that we live in now. We live in the age of things like tablets, smart phones and smart TVs, as well as interactive screens, games, and so on. This can be done online (mobile apps and websites) or on paper.

Graphic designers make things look the way they should (magazines and brochures). This is not so much about the medium as it is about it not moving or changing. UI design, on the other hand, is about the design of “interactive” elements in digital media, like tablets, smartphones, and computers. It has icons, clickable items, animations. There are also drop-down menus and form fields, as well as buttons, and so on. For example, how buttons and icons work when you click on them are important to UX design.

The job of a UI UX designer is to make things that work better for people:

Because both UX and UI designers use computers to do a lot of different things, most designers work in offices or studios. They may meet with other creative individuals, managers, and supervisors on any given day to make sure work is going as planned and on time. Like web developers, computer systems design and other service companies mostly hire people who work on UX and UI designs.

UX designers are all about making people want to use a product more and more. They need to be very good at both creative and technical things. To do their job, they meet with clients to learn about their goals and objectives. They do usability tests, write content, make wireframes, sitemaps, storyboards, screen flows, and help with content development. They study and analyse user feedback and activity to improve the user experience, and they make prototypes of new products. They are supposed to work together, but also oversee their own jobs.

As for a UI designer, their main job is to write computer code, that makes a product that people can find easy to use. Among them are web forms, database front ends, invoices, and more. UI designers can work on just one application, which is common for big businesses, or they can work on a lot of different forms across different operating systems. This is more common for smaller businesses. The tools they use depend on the platform they are on. In small businesses, UI designers may oversee the whole process, from making mockups to figuring out how users interact with them. A person who works for a big company might be good at sketching or wireframing, or at planning the layout of a website or app.

Requirements for UI UX designer education and training:

The best way to learn a new language is to get to know the people who speak it. In the same way, the best way to learn about UX or UI design is to go to school. In most cases, UX and UI designers need to have earned a bachelor’s degree. Associate and certificate programmes can also lead to entry-level jobs. There are a lot of different degree programmes that students can choose from. They can study communication, computer science, visual design, graphic design, web development, software engineering, or even psychology. But like in most creative and artistic fields, having a good portfolio is the most important factor to getting a job.

Front-end web development, human-computer interaction, interactive media design, mobile development, graphic design, and usability testing are some of the things a UI designer will work on. Programming skills are very valuable, and employers want to know that graduates have taken classes in HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, SQL database development, Photoshop, Flash, Javascript, Flex, and Illustrator before they hire them.

UI UX Designers usually work in a place like this:

People who work as software developers, which includes people who work as UI Designers, make an average of £103,560 a year. It is about £57,000 a year for people who were just starting out. People who had an associates degree, a certificate, or little experience in the field made about that amount each year. People with a lot of experience and a strong portfolio earn about £154,000 per year. Most software developers work in computer systems design and related services, software publishers, finance and insurance, the manufacturing of computer and electronic products, and management of businesses, in that order.

Most UI designers work full-time in an office or studio. UI designers work for both big and small businesses, and the job market is good for them. In fact, jobs were expected to grow by 17% from 2014 to 2024, which is a lot faster than the average for all jobs. These changes are in part due to the need for new apps for mobile devices and tablets, and to the rise in the number of products that use software, like cell phones and smart TVs. How to create an iconic logo?

When a company has a logo, they simplify their visual identity into an icon. Brands have become the norm in our time. This is how it works: There are many people who swear by one brand over the next. That is why logos are important, so we can tell one thing from another. When your logo is well-known, you know that it is working. A logo is not the most important part of branding, but you know it is working when it is well-known.

Creating an iconic logo:

You do not need many words to understand an iconic logo. It is easy to read briefly and conveys a feeling. It can be used in any size or format, and it is made well enough to last for many years.
If you want to make a good first impression and have a logo that lasts for a long time, then follow these rules.

One thing to keep in mind when you are designing your logo:
Think more about taking things away than adding them. In this case, it does not mean that you should remove everything from the logo. Instead, think about why each part is important and how it tells the world about your brand. Among these are some of the most well-known logos of all time:

The siren in Starbucks logo has been around since 1971, and it has changed a lot since then to become the Starbucks logo we know and love today. If we look at the Starbucks logo now, we can still tell it is the world’s most popular coffee shop.

The golden arches, or the golden gate. Who does not know that? It is partly because it is known around the world, and because it is so easy. People can see it from a distance because of how they built their buildings in the past. Now, it is a part of their brand.

In the past, the Apple logo has always been visible. But over the years, the popularity of Apple products has made the logo even bigger. Whether people love or hate Apple products, they cannot say they do not know the logo.

This is the logo that is used in design textbooks and articles to show how simple but effective logos can be. After you see the negative spaced arrow between the “e” and the “x,” you cannot stop seeing it.

Coca Cola:

The famous cola drink brand was first made in 1898, and it has changed a lot over the years. It went from a fancy scripted font to the red, white, and blue globe that we see today. The scripted font has recently been added to the drink’s branding, but even without it, the drink is still very well-known.

Nike’s swoosh was made by Carolyn Davidson when she was a student in 1971, and the story goes that she was paid £35 for it. Later, Nike gave her gifts to show how grateful they were for this famous symbol.

When someone thinks about fashion, the Chanel logo is almost always the first thing that comes to mind. Coco Chanel’s minimalist designs are shown by the double “C”s, which form her initials.

Mickey Mouse:

All of us know that Mickey Mouse is the mascot of Disney. The round shapes show that Mickey Mouse is a good and fun character, just like how Disneyland is the “happiest place on Earth.” The silhouette of Mickey Mouse is one of the most well-known symbols.

Make a versatile logo:

Iconic logos are very useful. People say a logo is versatile if it looks good at all sizes and in all kinds of places. It should look good in any colour and be versatile enough to work in both horizontal and vertical formats.

To make a logo that can be used in a lot of places, you need to make sure it works in every place you want to use it. Think about websites, business cards, signs, labels, vehicles, and more. The logo should be both powerful and easy to read, no matter how big or small it is.

When you add too many details to a logo, it always makes it hard to read. Because the logo has so many colours and elements, it will be hard to make it look good at smaller sizes. It is also important to remember that you will not always be able to use a full-colour logo. As a rule, the logo should be able to work in both black and white as well as colour. It should not rely on any special effects to make it stand out.

Create an appropriate logo for your brand:

There must be a simple way to make a logo, but not every simple logo is memorable. There should be a reason for the logo and how it will be used or seen by people.

Logos do not need to say what a company does; instead, they need to be appropriate in the way they make people feel when they see them. Think about well-known logos. This is not the only way that a logo can be real.

Keep it simple:

The most important thing in iconic logos is that they are simple. When you make your design simple, it is much easier to work on other aspects of designing and creating the logo.

You should know that simple does not mean boring. It means easy to understand and without complicated and unnecessary steps. When you need something simple, it is best to avoid too much clutter. The way the human mind deals with clutter is to block out most of it. Which is the opposite of the goal.

Because people have shorter attention spans now, it is easier for them to skip over things that are not very interesting or unique, which makes it easier for them to do so. Simple logos are easier for people to understand and remember, but more importantly, they are easier to remember when they see them again. How do I teach myself UI design?

It is called the User Interface (UI) because it describes how humans interact with information systems. There are a lot of different pages, screens, buttons, and other things that make it easy to interact with a device through the User Interface (UI). Every app and every website have a way for people to use them.

User Interface (UI) Design is the creation of graphics, illustrations, and the use of photographic art and typography to make a digital product look and work better on different devices. There are buttons, drop-down menus, data fields, sliders, icons, and tags that make up the interface. These are called “interface elements” (progress bars, notifications, message boxes).

The importance of the User Interface (UI):

A good User Interface (UI) makes it easy for people to do things quickly and easily. Users would like a website that has an easy-to-use interface that leads them to their goal in the most interesting way. Think about what a user might need to do when they visit a website and make sure the interface has elements that are easy to find and understand. To be a good UI designer, you need to know what the user wants, what skills they have, what preferences they have, and how they like things to work.

Place the user at the centre:

To have a good user experience, you need to have a good UI website or app that will make it easy for people to use other wise it will not be used, and tech support costs will go up as a result.

You need to know who your users are and what they want to do. This is the best way to do this. You should talk to them. In this article, we are not going to talk about how to set up and conduct interviews. Instead, talk to your audience, find out who they are, and make UI designs for them. In this case, learning about human-centred design will help you become more aware of how to make the best interfaces and put people first, not design.

Strive to be clear:

Because the user interface lets people use the website or app, it is important (or, more generally in broader design, any product). Do not do anything that confuses people or does not help them get to know your product better.

Make the number of actions and steps on each screen as small as possible:
Make tasks and actions as simple as possible so they can be done in as few steps as possible. Each screen should have one main goal. There is a good chance you will enjoy and learn from this blog that you read. It is not a good idea to share it on Twitter or send an email to a friend (though please do if you find it valuable enough to share).

Classics are there for a reason. They are timeless and never go out of style, but they can use some modern touches. Think about the little black cocktail dress or the tuxedo. Both are important fashion items. Because they are simple and classy, they make the person who wears them look better.

Be Consistent:

Consistency leads to familiarity, which makes interfaces easier to use. Is it not hard getting behind the wheel of a car if you cannot figure out which button to push to make the car move? The “Submit” button could be red, and the “Delete” button could be green.

Consistent design makes it easier for people to use. A design that stays the same is predictable. Designing things in a predictable way means that you do not need any help to figure out how things work without having to read about them first.

UI design should be consistent both inside and outside the app. Make your site easier to use by following the same rules as other websites and apps that do the same thing or within the same field. Apple’s human interface guidelines are a great example of how apps should look the same. Apps and all Apple devices should work the same way so that anyone who owns an Apple product can easily pick up another and use it, too.

Make it easy to find:

When making UI designs, think about how accessible they are. Online, this often means making sure that people who are visually impaired can access and use the product. If you have colour blindness, do not forget about that as well. One in 12 men and one in 200 women are colour blind. Use colour to emphasise, but do not rely on colour alone to communicate information.

Add user feedback to the UI:

Do not design in a bubble. User feedback is a good way to make sure that your UI choices are right. Watch people try to use your design (without coaching them). Are they not sure? They should be able to get what they want easily. Do this during both the design process and after the project is done (heat maps are one way to track how effective a UI is).

Feedback that is useful:

In games or when your phone is set to be “silent,” you can get a “buzz” or “ding” when you get a new email or call. This is called “feedback.” Every time you do something, you should get feedback to let you know if it worked or not.

It is important to make a UI that works and looks good on a lot of different devices. In the case of Android and iOS, for example, it might have to be changed to fit their different sizes. But the idea should be flexible enough to work on any device.

The visual structure:

Keep the same visual structure to make users feel at home and lessen their anxiety. A visual hierarchy is a way to do this, with the most important things made clear, such as colour scheme, consistent navigation, reusing elements, and grids are some of the things to pay attention to. How can I design faster?

People do not come up with great ideas on their own. People cannot do better things in the future unless they look at what people have done in the past. Before the Internet, smart designers found a way to solve this problem by making design “look-books.” These were huge catalogues that had hundreds of design pieces from all over the world. They were usually organised by type of work (brochure, poster, interactive, etc).

Today, many designers use Google to help them make their projects look good. You can get it done more quickly, for less money, and it works great! To get ideas for a “save the date” card, search for “inspiring save the date designs.” “Cute animal logos” is what you should search for if you want to make a logo with an animal on it, though remember to look for this in colour as well as black and white.

Other tips to design faster:

The right people to follow:
Some designers and companies are like news reporters for graphic design, or they make newsworthy things on their own. Keep up with events and find new ideas by following people who are defining and changing the world of design today.

Your mind needs new ideas:

To make progress and come up with new ideas, you need to deliberately leave your comfort zone and learn new things. If you normally would not read this, then read something you normally would not. Get out of your comfort zone. If you usually watch comedies, watch a scary movie. Our minds work with what they have seen. If you keep giving them the same information, they will keep coming up with the same ideas.

Use books that have a good layout when you read them:

How well things are put together is what makes a piece of art look good. If your layout does not look good, no matter how much time you spend on typography, photography, or colour, you cannot move forward.

Therefore, most designers spend a lot of time thinking about how things should be laid out. Left, or right? Should it be aligned or centred? The top or bottom? Questions like this can take up to 30% of your time when you are making something.

Most people want designs that use photos, and most people love them. The design is based on good photography choices and a well-thought-out design. Photos are used in illustration-based designs, but instead of photos, they are used to make them. This will only work if you have good drawing skills and a client who likes to make art.

Type-based designs need a lot of good typography to add visual interest:

What would be the best thing for you to do with your project and your client? You can think about both of these things a lot more quickly when you know what to work on.

Get a computer that is fast and up to date:

A lot of designers do not think about this very often, even though it is so simple. A fast computer, a bigger screen, and a lot of memory do make you a better designer, no matter how good you are. Your time, sanity, and happiness at work are just as important as the ideas and skills you have. Never undervalue the importance of good equipment and tools.

Sketch first:

A hand with a pencil is faster than a hand with a mouse. If you start your design projects in Photoshop or Illustrator, you have already lost a lot of time and money. No matter how good you are at drawing, you can use pen and paper to think about how your ideas and layouts might work. Once you have a good idea of where you want to go, move over to your favourite design tool. In half the time, you will finish your projects.

Do not do two things at once:

In our busy lives, we often do not notice how much multitasking hurts us. A lot of people think they can do five things at once, but they do not do them as well and it takes them more time to do. This is called “multitasking.” Keep your brain and hands to single projects at a time. Do not do too many things at a time. Even when it comes to graphic design.

Make sure your clients are a good fit:

Let us face it: Some clients and designers just do not work together. This includes you. During client introductions, you will find out if a possible client is a good fit for you. People do not want to talk about the project for an hour only to find out the client cannot afford your prices. The best way to find out what your clients want is to talk to them.

Give them a choice:

You should always come up with two or more design ideas to show them to clients. A good service is not the point here. It is a time-saver for you and your client.

As a result, your clients will either say yes or no if you only come up with one proposal. In this case, you must start over. If you give your clients two or three options, even if they are just different versions of the same design, they will tell you which one they like the best. Instead of starting from the beginning, you can pick up where you left off and keep going. For more tips on how to design faster, join Blue Sky Graphics online course.

How do you write a design brief?

Project managers use a design brief to outline the details of a design project, such as how long it will take and how much money it costs. When you write a proposal, there is not a set format for what you should include. Some common things to include are the design project’s scope, timelines, target audience, and budget.

Why do you need a design brief?

There are many reasons to use a design brief, but we think these are the two most important: speed and direction. The need of a well-written design brief is important whether it is for a professional or a business that wants to hire a design agency to produce good work. Before the work starts, show your client an overview of the project. This way, you can make sure that everything is correct. This saves you both time and money.

A design brief is the source of truth for your project and helps the design team figure out what to do. With a well-defined brief, designers can spend their time on the right things and produce great work.

Who writes a design brief?

If a company decides to work with a design agency on a new design project, they need to write a design brief for that project. Design briefs are the first step in any design project. They should give an overview of the company, the problem to be solved, and the expectations for the project.

Because the design brief is written by the client, design agencies or freelancers are usually involved in its creation. They might have an idea of the project and know what they want to do to solve a problem. They might not know much about the design process, though. They work with the clients to make sure they have a clear picture of what they want the design to look like.

This is where you can sell your design the most. By giving a meaningful description of your entry, you will help your client better understand your design and the meaning behind it, which will make you more likely to meet their needs.

How to sell a design brief?

An overview of the business is a good place to start:
The first thing to do when you write your design brief is to list important information about your business. When you write an overview, you can write down things like how big and old the company is, what kind of business it is in, and so on.

In the next part, you might talk about the brand’s personality and values, what makes it unique, and what makes it stand out from other brands. If there is a person at the company who oversees the project, put their contact information in this section. Or put the contact information for someone else who is working on the project here. The overview is important for everyone who is working on the project because it gives them all the information they need.

Cover the scope:

Now that you have read the brief, you should write down exactly what work needs to be done, or the project scope. Maybe the project is about making a new logo for the company, making graphics for a landing page, or making web design for an existing product, like a game or an app.

In the design brief, both parties should agree on the scope of the project, and they should write down that scope in the text.

Make sure to be as specific as you can in this part. For example, if the project is to make illustrations or photos for a campaign, you should write this down in the design brief. Everyone should know if it is only for web content and not print, so there is no confusion and no wasted time or money.

Select your target audience:

It is just as important to think about who you are designing for as to think about what you are designing. To figure out who your target audience is, start by looking at things like their age and gender.

From there, think about adding information about your audience, like what stores they shop at or what movies they like. You may also want to talk about how they use similar tools or products, or where they are most likely to interact with your content.

Identify your competitors:

You will almost always have to compete with another company when you make things. It is a fact of life. So, it is good to know a little bit about the competition. It is easier to come up with new, unique work when you know what makes you different from the rest of the people.

When design teams know about the company’s brand identity, it can help them choose the best angle for their project and come up with a design that truly represents the company. In this phase, mood boards are a great way for designers to get ideas, organise them, and show them to the client.

Set a specific goal:

Problems are solved by good insight and great design. When a company hires a design agency for a project, they are doing it to solve a problem they already have, not to start a new one. They might want to get more leads or offer a new product to their customers, but they do not know why. What is important to know is that no matter what, there is a reason to hire professional designers, and that needs to be written down in the design brief.

Setting goals and objectives for your project helps you know where to start and stay on track. As an example, if the business wants a landing page that encourages people to sign up, the focus could be on optimising and testing button placement and colour to get more people to click.

These goals are usually written down by the designers with the help of the business. They usually have already been checked out with user research and data. If research is part of the project, then the project’s goals should be written in the same way. Blue Sky Graphics can help you learn graphic design from home. Try our course today!
