Learning Programme Coordinator

We are a proud to be an online school from the very beginning back in 2005, but equally proud of our small home where our office is based in London’s creative capital Shoreditch.

We love Shoreditch as much of the area maintains its original gritty, urban edge; many of the walls and shop fronts are plastered with graffiti. Here is our creative training hub from where your tutors connect to your computer at home.

Our tutors are not just any teachers. They are specialist designers and experts in their fields that actually come from both industry and academic backgrounds. Between all our members of teaching staff we have a combined total of 25 years working in graphic design.

Most people that know me may not know I like marmalade in my tea- It’s way better than the bergamot in Earl-grey and sweetens it too.

I am super passionate about graphic design and I love teaching my students. I’ve been in design for almost 20 years. Having worked in 3 international art schools and taught graduate-level graphic design and worked across tech industries my favourite place of all is to be sat down at my desktop connected to my students teaching colour theory or combination of images in Photoshop.

We look forward to welcoming you on board and helping you in your graphic design journey soon.

Marco
Master Graphic Design Tutor

Rewarding work for me is passing on my knowledge and focusing on making my students strong and confident graphic designers. As a teacher, I am proud to imparting industry tips to other eager designers who need direction. I enjoy speaking to new students and being part of their exciting journey.

I’m an Adobe certified graphic designer and worked as part of the research art team at UAL, University of the Arts London before working at a large print house in London and in an agency for 2 years before realising teaching is my vocation.

I grew up in Portugal but have been living in London for many years and have a wife and two beautiful children.  I’ve taught a competitor college prior to BSG and can really show my students how to excel their design portfolio through modern teaching methods.

I have a passion for cars as well as animations which I often like to do in my spare time. I have taught for over 4+ years and I get a thrill seeing students’ progress.

Chen
Master Graphic Design and UX Tutor

Creativity and sharing this with others is part of my identity, and teaching is where I am at my best. Teaching enthusiastic students graphic design and UX-UI is my meaningful way to be a part of the creative community.

I’m a digital graphic designer & certified Adobe instructor and have taught at several colleges and schools before joining BSG in 2015.  I’m proud to have received several Adobe teachings awards at their annual MAX conference.

I grew up in Switzerland, spent some time in sunny Spain and & now live in London. I’ve spent a long-time watching other learn and teach, to refine how I work with my students to be professional, useful and, most importantly, impactful graphic designers. My success lies in the success of my students and their career prospects.

I have a wife (a lovely Swiss cook) and no kids yet. I have lived and worked in many places  – but most of my 8+ years of creating and teaching has had one overriding theme: making the world a more exciting place with graphic design through stories, memories, and communication.

Lori
Master Graphic Design and Web Design Tutor

As a fun-loving creative individual, I always enjoy meeting new students and teaching them with design career training using design theory and Adobe software to solve problems.

Prior to joining BSG in 2017, I worked for industry specialising in illustration, design and education with a focus on science and toys packaging. Some of my previous clients include London Zoo, Whittards of Chelsea, Dadimas CIG and Gillette Museum.

I have lived and worked in 8 countries and I am from the US originally but love the UK way of drinking tea. I miss the Columbian way of coffee although the way Brits do it is growing on me.

What makes me happy is seeing my design students get better and more distinguished. I have a family (3 girls) and a dog called Benjy. Can’t wait to work with new students soon.

Ashley
Master Graphic Design and Web Design Tutor

I graduated in the UK studied my BA (Hons) in graphic design from Brighton University and was privileged to have met and been trained by amazing creative
talents along the way.

My interests are letterpress printing, book design, animation, digital sound, and exhibition design. In my spare time I enjoy going to the country and visiting London’s suburbs like Hampstead and Richmond and taking pictures of nature and wildlife.

I am a massive foodie and when I am not teaching graphic design, I am usually cooking enough for an army of 10 although I end up freezing most of it as I live alone. I joined BSG in 2009 and teach part-time while also teaching acting and dance.

Beatrice
Graphic Design Tutor

I have recently become an Adobe certified graphic designer after studying Fine Art and then teaching it I have developed a passion for graphic designs. I am from Paris and have joined BSG in 2019 so I am the newbie here and have tons of energy to give my students.

I find graphic design exciting and relaxing because it moves people and it also stimulates the senses when in the full client mode and taking design briefs. Making a powerful portfolio is key to gaining new work and that is where I can help

I have a cat called Mally and my favourite food is pizza after Bourguignon (of course).

David
Senior Graphic Designer

Hi. I am David. I’m a Creative Graphic Designer and Illustrator and Blue Sky Graphics Senior Graphic Design Tutor . I live in South London.

Passionate about the merging of new aesthetics, mixing new technology and analogue processes to create unique projects graphic design is as exciting for me 12 years down the road as it was on day 1.

Teaching Graphic Design is a wonderful opportunity to mutually share knowledge and experiences, as well as having the opportunity to meet, collaborate and learn from other like minded individuals.

I grew up in Madeira, a beautiful Portuguese Island. With incredible natural pools, beaches with volcanic rock, gorgeous cliffs overlooking the ocean, and charming little towns, it’s no wonder that it is considered Europe’s leading Island destination.

Here is where I started my creative journey. I’ve always been a creative kid who enjoyed painting, drawing and sculpting. With big support from my family and friends I was able to finish a Diploma in Visual Arts.

I left for the UK to Study Graphic Design at the University for the Creative Arts which Kickstarted my creative career. I was able to collaborate with lots of creatives once I started a Freelance practice after graduation.

In terms of my hobbies, I love to take photographs (both digital and analogue), like to cook and really enjoy running outdoors as well as staying fit and healthy. Love meeting new people and making real friendships and meaningful connections.

I can’t wait to teach you on your new graphic design journey.

Since a young age, I was always drawing and sketching and when I grew up I knew graphic design is where I wanted to be and where I wanted to make my career.  Working at Blue Sky Graphics is great as the teams are fun and standard high and opens many doors for so many people and I love the fact I’m helping them realise dreams they thought were unachievable.

Life is short and I strongly believe in being passionate about what you do and you love every second of it.

Everywhere you look you see different types of graphic design ranging typography, image manipulation, illustration, colours etc. Graphic design is so important to businesses so they’re always looking for designers to help them create their ideas. They are so many elements you need to consider when designing and I will show you everything you need to know.

I will help you learn all the skills and tools needed for you to create a portfolio that meets the industry standard and makes you stand out from the crowd. Having a professional-looking portfolio is so important and that’s what we aim to create from the outset. On competition of the course, my managers will review your portfolio and if it meets industry-standard I will send the certificate to show you finished the course.

I know students are different from each other and I will always make sure that you understand everything and fully complete the course.

I can’t wait to meet you guys and start your journey in graphic design!

Dragan
Senior Graphic Design & Web Design Tutor

Hello, my name is Dragan 🐲
I enjoy teaching and meeting new faces. I’m super curious about meeting all of my new students and having the opportunity to exchange our thoughts and also learn something valuable from all of them.

I’ve been designing for more than 15 years and have a background of Fine Art. As a freelancer, I had the opportunity to work in different industries on many individual projects for small companies, including branding, artistic projects, web designs and book illustrations. I come from a more artsy background and having explored different media, I have plenty of working experience.

In my free time, alongside my love and wonderful life companion, we have a small lavender nursery, in our backyard, where we make delicious lavender syrup! I absolutely love drumming and I’m willing to share all of that with you.
