1. Interact and familiarise yourself with the virtual classroom, test your tech: internet and audio and speak to the tutor since their knowledge is what you want and need. Do not be afraid to ask lots of questions or an overview of the subject in the course introduction. Particularly if this is your first time learning online, email and build a relationship with your teacher as you’ll be with him or her for 10 months. Tutors are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
2. Designing is creative and therefore do not be afraid of making mistakes! Have fun with your own work and make mistakes since in context it is all part of the learning. Test what you are learning at in the classroom and during homework time. Do your homework each week and show your work to family, peers and colleagues and ask their opinion. Show your work. Finally, accept criticism. Improve based on that criticism. Surround yourself with ideas and inspiration.
3.  Make time for your homework. There is a point why you are given it in the first place and the school ultimately rely on your success which makes them in turn successful. They want you to be the best and the most successful students are those who are constantly doing their homework, asking questions and not being afraid. That goes for any form of study but is particularly important for online learning.
