1. Which font to choose?
The biggest flaw in the design of a novice against a more competent design is that the font is too small. It is difficult to retain the meaning of the piece due to numerous confusing fonts. Using several different fonts on their design, it is possible for a brand to use up to two or three different fonts on their design. Choosing a single typeface would have clear and cohesive branding, and gives the company an identity. When selecting the number of fonts and the amount of text, remember the expected reading standard and total piece length. A smaller logo and icon may only incorporate one choice of font, while a bigger website can incorporate a broader range.

Sometimes, keep in mind the centre of the fonts, which means the distance between the letters, which causes a significant difference in the finished production of your artwork. 2. Using illustrations properly
Stock photographs can be an affordable and effective choice when it comes to creating items that are not already readily accessible. Using so many stock photos in the project making things look inexpensive or unprofessional. Classic stock images are no longer valuable because they have been seen so many times that they are now so popular. Often, make sure you are buying the photographs you are going to end up with to avoid sending pictures with a watermark or any with a poorer quality.
3. Proper tutoring
Make sure that you are always checking the spelling and grammar before sending the article to print. While the abuse of comma or other punctuation marks does not sound like a big concern, there are a number of people out there that can find basic problems like this and overlook the rest of the project. Use the same fonts together with these colours to ensure the text is visible regardless of its placement and size.
5. Using the incorrect hierarchy
In graphic design, the hierarchy is how elements are arranged such that viewers may understand their importance and the way their eyes may travel around the object. The style of the flyer on the left is easy for the eye to read, whilst the layout on the right shows all the pertinent details clearly. When the flyer is placed on the right, the eye continuously skips over the important details on the left. Hierarchical design is the standard which assigns priorities to the data. Whenever you develop a new idea, you typically want to communicate with a single core note. The hierarchy of elements and style choices you create in a design will decide what meaning or details the viewer takes away from the design. Font size and placement would not be the only factors when creating a hierarchy. You may still use colours, graphic attributes, or the weight of the fonts you use.
