How To Change Discord Font Size

Discord has fast grown in popularity among gamers.
You can learn graphic design through Blue Sky Graphics online graphic design course in the UK! We teach Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign in a one to one setting online.

This popularity may be ascribed to its easy-to-use UI and personal server option.

And, although we seldom hear complaints regarding the app’s user interface, there are still ways to get the most out of the experience.

Today we’ll talk about Discord text size and how to adjust it for the best experience.

Studies have shown that focusing on smaller-sized text for lengthy periods of time causes eye strain, discomfort, headaches, and, ultimately, decreased eyesight.

Discord Patterns

We understand that everyone’s use patterns are unique. Discord is used by some individuals on their phones and tablets, while others use laptops and/or PCs.

All of these devices have widely disparate resolutions, screen sizes, and display settings, which may make the font size difficult to read in certain scenarios.

This article is for you if you are one of them, or if you appreciate bigger print in general.

So, what are our options? Fortunately, we can easily change the font size in Discord to make it more apparent and readable.

On Windows/Mac, increase the size of the Discord text.

If you have the Discord App installed on your Windows or Mac computer, changing the font size in Discord is straightforward. The method for enlarging text in the Windows/Mac Desktop app is much the same. This is how you do it.

1. Open the app and login in to your account.

2. After logging in, choose “User settings,” as seen in the figure below.

3. Next, go to the “App Settings” section, where you’ll discover a plethora of options. Click on “Appearance,” as shown in the diagram below.

4. On the right side of your Discord App, a new section will appear. Scroll all the way down to the “Chat Font Scaling” section.

5. As illustrated in the picture below, you’ll notice a slider bar with different font sizes above it, including 12px, 14px, 15px, 16px, 20px, and 24px.

6. Slide to the desired option to make the text easier to read. Keep an eye on the top column, which will show you a preview of the font size as you move the bar to change it.

P.S. The default settings are highlighted in green in case you want to go back to them.

However, by adjusting basic iOS settings, you may be able to expand the total size of your apps (and text inside them). Discord, on the other hand, does not provide this feature.
