What is Balance in Graphic Design?
Placements of different graphic design elements are known as their balance, and when you position the elements, their visual weight must be considered. For example, if you put a lighter colour next to a darker colour, the darker part tends to be heavier in the design.

Symmetrical Balance
In a symmetrical equilibrium, the weight must be uniformly distributed, either horizontally or vertically. You should draw a straight line from the centre of the template for visual balancing. This will help you align the elements equally. This form of the composition provides an orderly look and therefore tends to be consistent.
When designing, you can do some experiments and shift the colour from one side to a darker shade. You can note that the darker shade side is heavier than, the lighter one. Thus in asymmetrical balance, you do not need to balance the positioning of the elements and the shades of colour that influence the symmetry. A symmetrical equilibrium can give you visuals that are cool for your eyes, but often they might not be really interesting.
Asymmetrical Balance
As the name suggests in this balancing form, the components are not symmetrically distributed, but there is some balance in the graphics. You can find that one side is heavier than the other, but it also sends a strong message to the eyes.
In this form of balancing, you attempt to generate visual appeal by arranging the various sizes of the elements in such a way that, while they are not equally positioned, they complement each other.
